The Government of India continues to be well focused on skilling as its major national priority. It targets to engage 50 Lakh as against a current number of 2.5 Lakh apprentices as its major HRD initiative. For this purpose, The Apprenticeship Act 1961 was amended, and in August 2016 NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) was launched for promoting a culture of Apprenticeship and also increase the number of Apprentices in our ecosystem.

Apprenticeship provides an opportunity to use the industry resources to bridge the existing skill gap with academia through practical training on the latest tools and technologies. It is a boon to the industry as they can bridge the required skill gap qualitatively as well as quantitatively and also to students as they get real-time On-The-Job training.
MPTA Education is a leader in the domain of Employability Training. It connects well with plenty of Educational institutions, the Labour market across the country, and Industry Partners providing OJT opportunities to more than 20 thousand youth per Year.

Yet another time Govt of India through its Skill Development Ministry finds MPTA education worthy to join hands for the role of promoting NAPS as a Third Party Aggregator.

  • The government will reimburse part of expenses incurred in providing Basic Training wherever necessary and also part of Stipend paid to the Apprentices.
  • Employers will not be required to cover Apprentices under the Provident Fund and ESI scheme
  • The well-established organization of Apprenticeship Training will be implemented NAPS with help of Third Party Aggregators and Basic Training Providers
  • Basic Training is mandatory only for those who do not have ITI, Diploma, and Degree in Engineering.
  • The OJT time period could be 24 months
  • Wider options for the apprentices- integration with other schemes (Like PMKVY, MES, etc)And many more.

ROLE OF TSPL

  • Identify eligible candidates for apprenticeships
  • Organize Basic and on-the-job /practical training for apprentices

  • Submit the reimbursement claims towards stipend to employers Comply with formalities required for trade apprentices for appearing All India Trade Tests for Apprentices as and when required.
