MAPS

The Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (APS) is a scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra on 03 June 2021 to promote apprenticeships and provide opportunities for skill development to the youth of the state.MAPS Portal will get live in this Month. The existing EPP Scheme (Employment Promotion Programme) have been converted to MAPS Scheme. The scheme aims to create a skilled workforce in Maharashtra by providing apprenticeship training to students and unemployed youth.

Under the APS, the government provides financial assistance to establishments for engaging apprentices. The scheme covers various industries such as manufacturing, service, and repair sectors. The government also provides reimbursement of training costs, which includes a stipend for the apprentice.

Benefits of MAPS

  • Offers financial benefits Rs.3500/- Per Month per Apprentice.
  • No Statutory Applicability.
  • Apprenticeship Quota - 2.5% to 25%
  • 10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma, B.E, B.Tech, Any Graduate, Any Post Graduate are eligible for this Scheme.
  • Time period 12 Months.
  • Increases availability of industry ready skilled manpower well versed with culture of the company.
  • Reduces expenditure on recruitment process.
  • Apprentice cannot take part in the Union.
  • Company can book Apprenticeship Stipend & other Apprentices Expenses (Shoes, T-shirt, Bus, Canteen) under CSR.
